Trading Systems Support Analyst to join a Leading HFT Proprietary Trading House experiencing great continued growth. The firm uses several different strategies across a variety of markets, using cutting edge technology to ensure a high-performance network processing vast amounts of financial information in Real Time. With a very talented group of quantitative financial analysts and programmers, the trading systems support team will manage the widely-deployed order management system and market delivery systems.
The main responsibilities for the role will involve working closely with traders to understand their needs, as well as being the primary technical contact for brokers and exchanges. Solving problems by providing both level 1 and level 2 support for the production systems, providing periodic after hours coverage and monitoring and reporting on the status and health of the systems. The ability to devise ways to architect and develop solutions and contribute to the design and implementation of the support system to enhance reliability and self-correction.
Our ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in the finance industry along with:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field
Strong skills in Perl, Python, and Bash or Shell
Knowledge of Linux
Knowledge of SQL and the use of databases
Strong problem-solving abilities
The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
The willingness to take on tasks both big and small
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
