The Role:

You will be responsible for the management and operations of all Network and Unix infrastructure. This includes Cisco networking and IP voice systems, Checkpoint Firewalls and VPN gateways, Riverbed Steelhead WAN acceleration devices and AWS EC2 hosted implementations. You are also responsible for managing security and recommending best practice security posture for the business.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

CCNA or Degree Level Computer Science qualification

Firewalls: Checkpoint, Juniper, PFSense experience

Firewall Technologies: VPN/IPSEC, SmartCenter, Gaia, Juniper OS, NAT, etc

Linux Admin: Centos, Debian, Nagios, Squid, Varnish, CVS, GIT, Exim, BIND, DHCPD, BASH Scripting, Python, Perl

CISCO Admin: Phone Systems/Voice Gateways/SwitchesAP's and Controllers (CISCO IOS)

Riverbed admin

AWS EC2/Route53

TroubleShooting: TCPDumps/Fiddler/FW logs/Traceroutes/OSI Layer, WireShark

Other Admin: Jira, Confluence, Zscaler, IPFX

Very good interpersonal skills

Commercial experience Network Administrator (Cisco, Firewalls)

Commercial experience System Administrator (Linux)

Significant experience troubleshooting server & network issues.

Ability to work autonomously

Ability to cope with a very broad remit

'Nice to haves' are:

ITIL v3 Foundation

RHCSA

Security accreditation

Cisco voice

Autodidactic capabilities

Experience managing small projects

Demonstrates an ability to think "outside the box" within the confines of a corporate environment

Desire to improve self and environment

Experience and discipline to document work and follow processes and procedures (ITIL)
