Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Principal Android Software Engineer to join our client in San Jose, CA.

Job Overview:

The Client Mobile team builds the latest client products for users that are using their program on the go or at home away from a computer. As a Principal Android Software Engineer, you will enhance these existing products and develop new innovative features the Mobile and Consumer devices industry across the world has yet to see! Mobile apps built by this team are used by millions of users around the world.

We are looking for an exceptional Principal Android Software Engineer to join the team that works on the client consumer application. If you are extremely passionate about building iPhone / iPad applications, love working with a team of talented developers, and have interests in the latest Mobile technologies then this is your job.

Job Responsibilities:

- Work closely with business partners, product management, and design team to conceptualize new ideas and convert them into technical requirements while working closely with your peers to build a killer Android app.
- Independently design, build, and test complex multi-tiered features based on high level requirements.
- Coordinate with other teams within client as needed.
- Building mobile apps in an Agile and fast paced setting.


Job Qualifications:

- Bachelors of Science (BS) in Computer Science or Equivalent.
- Must have ten plus years of SW development experience.
- One and a half years experience in App Development on Android and five plus years of Java / C++ knowledge is a must.
- Delivered superb apps to a huge user base.
- Proficient with Java / C++.
- Strong Android SDK experience is desired.
- Ability to understand and Parse XML, JSON and Serialized data.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, interactive development environment with short turn-around times.
- Advanced software architecture and design skills, including object oriented design.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to understand and explain technical issues to a non-technical audience.
- Prior iOs/RIM/Symbian/Web development experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with fundamental web and mobile technologies (HTML5, CSS, JS etc) is preferred.
