Description:

Our client seeks a Red Hat/VMware Systems Administrator to join an advanced team of technical professionals that are implementing a global deployment of SAP using Oracle RAC as its database.  The Servers hosting SAP are running Red Hat RHEL 5.8 & 6.1, VMware vSphere 5.1 and Oracle 11G.  

Position Description:

Serve as a level three technical escalation point for advanced troubleshooting. You must have superior troubleshooting methodology and customer service skills.

Thorough technical documentation skills are a must, and the ability to communicate concepts of highly technical nature to people with a functional business understanding will be required.

Provide system administration, planning, testing, tuning, configuration and setup of Red Hat/VMware infrastructure in support of business requirements as well as customer needs.

Requirements:

Virtualization:

o VMWare - VSphere 5.X including Storage Vmotion, RDM, VMware HA, VMware HA design.

o Red Hat - RHEL 5.x and 6.1 XEN and KVM.

Thorough understanding of TCP/IP network protocols and good troubleshooting skills.

Manage/Configure SAN/NAS requirement for Linux and VMware Servers.  Familiar with Oracle OCFS, Oracle ACFS, Red Hat GFS, LVM, Multipath configuration on IBM XIV & V7000.   

Experience with supporting systems running Oracle Enterprise Database with RAC Real Application Clusters.

Experience with supporting systems running SAP ERP software.

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar.

Certifications:

o One or more of the following VMware certifications,VCP5, VCAP5-DCA Datacenter Administration and VCAP5-DCD Datacenter Design.

o One or more of the following Red Hat certifications, RHCE Red Hat Certified Engineer, RHCDS Red Hat Certified Datacenter Specialist and RHCA Red Hat Certified Architect.
