Sr. Linux Kernal SW Engineer

Would you like to work for the company that produces the newest, most sought-after hardware in the tech industry? Our client is a hugely popular computer components creator seeking support for their wireless chipset for a cellular base station coupled with an IA host processor to provide complete solution for multi-standard (WCDMA/HSPA+, LTE, LTE-Advanced) Wireless Base Stations.

The candidate in this position will optimize the Real Time performance of an application stack Linux with RT patch under non-virtualized and virtualized environment. The virtualized environment will be based off KVM.

Location: Hillsboro, OR

Desired Start Date: ASAP

Estimated Length of Assignment: 13 weeks (520hrs)

Years of Experience:5 years of relevant experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

5 years of relevant experience

Experience and extensive working knowledge of Linux Kernel Internals, Kernel drivers, user and Kernel space switching interactions for IOs and timers

Any RTOS or Linux with Real Time patches

At least one hypervisor (KVM, Xen, VMware, etc.)

In-depth understanding of Real Time requirements (jitter and latency) and optimizations needed

Strong skills in C/C++ and assembly language programming

Debugging skills of Linux Kernel

Understanding of client virtualization technology highly desirable
