Key responsibilities:
Establishing, configuring and commissioning the infrastructure (network, Servers, deployment and administration) alongside our hosting partners.
Establishing peripheral systems such as issue tracking systems, wikis, and deployment repositories.
Following policy's and procedures for helping to establish and maintain PCI/DSS level 1 compliance.
Maintaining and updating documentation on our internal wiki for all systems related data.
Patching and upgrading systems and testing the systems in a QA environment and stagingenvironment prior to release to production systems.
Assisting internal users with the setup of their environment and creating new accounts for new users. Review of daily backup scripts and verification of data integrity.Key requirements:
Systems administration experience on Linux Servers in a 24x7 environment, RHEL preferred but not essential.
Systems administration experience of networks including the configuration of Firewalls, Routers, Switches load--balancers, VLANs and VPNs.
Systems Administration of virtualised environments.
Strong Shell Scripting skills in one or more of the following Scripting languages: Bash, Python, Ruby.
Experience implementing and configuring Apache2, Resin, Tomcat, NGINX, SSL, DNS/BIND, SSH, SNMP, NTP.
Experience configuring and implementing shared file systems like NFS and Samba.
Knowledge and understanding of security and Firewalls and secure best practices
