Our client is a globally recognised electronic trading technology provider with a strong focus on OTC financial instruments, specifically FX, Interest Rate Derivatives and futures. They are currently looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to join a strong and dynamic team in a number of different upcoming projects. The role itself is not a generic and mundane System Administration role; it is more of a creative and engineering orientated position and given the flat structure of the team/organisation, you will get a healthy amount of exposure to different business areas.
Based on its proprietary core technology, the platform offers deep liquidity of more than 100 global market makers used by over 800 client organizations worldwide including across Europe, America and Asia-Pacific with subsidiaries in New York, Singapore, Dubai and Mumbai - so the role will involve heavy communicating with colleagues internationally. The role itself will involve projects aligned with global expansion, new data centres and an abundance of upcoming interesting projects.
The ideal candidate will have the following: -
3-5 years in a Systems Administrator role, using Linux RedHat (RHEL) - totally essential
Experience in either Windows/Database/Network/Security Administration
Exposure to project management - the ability to lead large scale projects
The ability to hit the ground running and take ownership of projects
Not afraid to work on different platforms
Excellent communication skills
Ambitious and keen to get exposure to different business areas Excellent communication skills in English are essential - fluency with German, Italian, Spanish, Turkish or French is also desirable.
