A seasoned Software Engineer with extensive experience in Embedded Firmware, Device Drivers, Storage and IO bus protocols (SAS/SATA). NAND FLASH device experience required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Design, develop, debug and thoroughly test PCI-E based SAS/SATA device drivers
• Port and maintain above drivers between different OS's such as variety of Linux and Windows flavors
• Work with verification and validation engineers to accelerate product availability
• Respond to customer escalations with urgency, accuracy, and complete integrity
• Look for opportunities through interaction with customer and community to innovate
Qualifications
• Expertise in Linux and ideally Windows driver models
• Must have shipped device drivers in at least one flavor of Linux
• Expertise in PCI-E, SCSI, SAS, and SATA protocols
• Expertise in “C†and ideally variety of assembly based development environments and tools.
• Nice to have: C++, JAVA, scripting experiences
• Must have triaged device driver issues with HW and SW people on numerous occasions
• NAND Flash and SSD experience highly desired
• Passion for technology and problem solving
