Java Software Engineer - Java, J2EE, JBoss, Unix, Linux, SQL- Holland/Amsterdam - up to 59k

Our client, a multi national focused web organisation, requires a Software Engineer who has worked with high-performance J2EE Java applications to join the team and take on responsibilities relating to the engineering of J2EE Java applications and projects within the UNIX environment.

The successful Software Engineer will need a strong work ethic and a pragmatic approach to their work as well as excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

The team that the software engineer will be joining is responsible for maintaining several existing UNIX systems, which include a software platform written in a mix of C, Shell Scripts, Perl and Java. You will therefore need to demonstrate excellent knowledge of Unix and Java.

Essential Experience:

3-4 years' software development experience

In-depth knowledge of software development processes and software architecture

Java, J2EE

Excellent understanding of Java Enterprise Edition and JBoss

Demonstrated successful participation in production grade Java-based solutions.

Excellent knowledge of UNIX, networking and Linux environments (Debian/CentOS)

Excellent knowledge of relational databases and SQL
