Our client is commencing a new project build of a new platform for their new Cloud offering which will complement their integration and development services. This new and exciting project is searching for a highly experienced Linux Architect/Engineer who possess demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to develop new products and innovative solutions. This is for an initial 6-12 month contract
The successful candidate will be responsible for all platform software/infrastructure configuration and administration processes including the Design & Build of Linux infrastructure platform including Configuration using state of the art configuration management software in order to architect and build a new High Performance, High Availability (PaaS) Cloud platform solution.
To be considered for this contract position you will require the following skills and experience:
10 years' experience with Linux operating sys admin
Solid experience with software infrastructure configuration and administration on Linux
Experience with Java application Servers & web Servers
Strong Bash Scripting experience
Full stack experience with common open source systems and databases
Familiarity with Cloud Foundry PaaS stack preferred
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Solid consultative approach together with experience of client facing roles
Package management processes and technologies exp
Open source configuration management tools exp eg: Puppet ect
Experience with Chef configuration management tool ideal and highly desirable
Duration: initial 6-12 month contract
