Due to an exciting period of growth and a continuing commitment to investing in emerging technologies & trends, our client who is a market leader in their field are seeking an enthusiastic and skillful Unix/Linux administrator to join their growing team.
Reporting to the Unix team lead, you will be responsible for:
Setup, configuration, monitoring & troubleshooting of Linux-based systems;
Troubleshooting systems/infrastructure level problems;
Ongoing security management;
Close interaction with external clients on an ongoing basis;
Providing on call support;
Providing technical documentation;
Undertaking project-based work as required. You will have:
3+ years commercial Systems Admin experience;
Strong Linux skills - preferably Red Hat and/or Ubuntu;
A solid operational knowledge of IP Networking & network management software;
Web Server experience - preferably Apache;
Experience in handling production systems and associated issues;
Ability to prioritise & manage own workload;
