Experienced Android Developer
We are seeking experienced Android developers with good knowledge of the inner workings of the Android system, as well as good Java/JNI skills. You will be working on an exciting project in the sphere of head-worn computing with world class voice recognition and body movement tracking. You will be part of growing team of engineers working with worldwide partners on a product that had the media buzzing at CES in 2012. As part of our growing team of engineers, you will be working on bespoke enhancements of the Android OS, defining and developing inter-device protocols, creating imaginative applications and services and porting existing software to Android. You will need to be a good team worker, flexible and creative. The role has the potential for repeated extensions and could become permanent if desired. Essential Criteria
The following criteria are deemed essential for this role. We would discourage an application unless the following are met, or are close to being met.Â
3+ years general Android development
Knowledge of JNI C++ code
Bluetooth experience
Library Components experience
Android services experience
Understands and can build android source code
Understands android from all levels
Desirable Criteria
Windows programming in C++ or C#
Communications Protocol
XML
Bluetooth SPP profile
OpenGL ES 2.0
Experience with operating systems on Embedded devices
