Due to an exciting period of growth and a continuing commitment to investing in emerging technologies & trends, our client has a requirement for an experienced Senior Systems engineering to join their growing team. Based in their nicely modern office in outskirts of the Melbourne CBD, you will be working closely with the agile development project team and will be responsible for:

Working with development project teams in an agile environment on solution design;

Building, deploying & maintaining systems & applications;

Delivering robust systems, on-time and on-budget;

Liaising with stakeholders on an ongoing basis as infrastructure subject matter expert;

Creating monitoring systems to manage availability of environments and systems.

You will have:

Proficiency with languages such as Python and Ruby

Experience and background knowledge of Unix/Linux

Strong knowledge in Redhat/Centos, Debian, AWS EC2, MySQL

Solid Storage experience such as Netapp

Current or recent experience of working in a Development Operations (DevOps) environment;

Experience of administering web Servers;

Strong analytical & problem-solving skills;

Ability to collaborate as part of a development team;

Good communication & interpersonal skills

Any relevant tertiary qualifications, industry certifications and/or consulting experience would also be highly desirable.
