UNIX Systems Administrator, Solaris Systems Administrator, RedHat Linux Systems Administrator

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah

Position Type: Direct-Hire

Rate: $100K-$120K

Support a UNIX, Redhat Linux based Business Application Infrastructure.  Understand the infrastructure environment and ensure that new applications and infrastructure meet corporate standards for quality.

Provide day-to-day operational support of the UNIX/Redhat Linux infrastructure environment.  Provide systems monitoring, alert resolution, and auditing.  Fulfil user requests.

REQUIRED:

Able to pass a credit check, drug test, and criminal background check

Strong command of English

Strong Unix administration and troubleshooting skill on various enterprise systems: Linux and Solaris. Should be proficient in understanding Kernel mechanics, virtual memory, process life cycles, DNS, NIS, LDAP, AUTOFS, NFS, AFS, TCP/IP, jumpstart, kick-start.*

Good understanding of enterprise level change and incident management processes.*

Proficient in the infrastructure architecture of scalable, automated HPC ( High Performance Computing ) deployments

RedHat Linux and/or and Solaris UNIX

Experience with high-performance, highly-available computing environments and integration of technical products into complex environments

Virtualization technologies experience

Understanding of/experience with SAN/NAS and associated Protocols

Must be a self-starter, a team player, and be able work in a fast paced, environment.

Excellent analytical and problems solving skillsBonus Points

Perl, Shell programming, Python, and/or C Scripting writing experience

Financial Services experience

Enterprise-scale experienceEnvironment: 

Solaris, UNIX, RedHat Linux, SAN ( EMC and CLARiiON ), NetApp - Network-Attached Storage ( NAS ) with HP and Dell Hardware
