In this contract position, you will be working with members of the platform architecture team in developing working proof-of-concept, performing benchmark analysis and writing architecture specifications. This specification encompasses components, hardware platform, system software, OS and application software. Other responsibilities would include generating and assimilating data to perform Platform Level Trade-offs such as power, performance, battery life, cost, and size to set the architecture for the platform. There will be multiple software projects ranging from application, frameworks and low-level driver projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CSE or EE required
4+ years of relevant work experience
Experience in the mobile phone industry required
Deep understanding of Intel X-86 architectures and/or ARM architecture
Must have JAVA programming and Android API expertise (Froyo, Gingerbread)
Must have developed applications (Native and Dalvic) on Android phones
Understanding of Client Server, Cloud computing service architecture and Internet Technologies (eg HTML, XML/XSLT, JSON, HTTP, SSL, TCP/IP) a strong plus
Extensive experience with integrating products using Scripting (PERL, etc.) as well as coding in structured programming languages (C/C++, Java, Python, etc.)
Strong organization skills and self-motivation
Strong initiative, strong communication and superior problem-solving skills preferred
