Job Title: Linux Systems Administrator
Type: 3 months, Contract to Perm
Location: Norcross, GA 30071
Our client is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator for a 3 month, contract to permanent position in Norcross, GA. The candidate will be responsible for the installation and support of computer platforms, operating system software, networks, and/or productivity tools to meet the needs of the business. The Linux Systems Administrator may provide supervision for 1 or more technical support/technical implementation resources and may assist with vendor management.
Linux Systems Administrator Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, performs tasks in support of IT projects within estimated time and in accordance with acceptable quality measurements.
Demonstrates a solid knowledge of the assigned technical environment, and working knowledge of platforms and/or networks and productivity tools.
Installs and configures technical components and supporting software. May own support issues, and medium to large projects.
Investigates and resolves technical issues. May own technical projects or issues.
Create and implement change requests for incidents/problems as needed
Root Cause Analysis
Minimum Requirements:
5+ years of experience providing support for RedHat Linux Enterprise experience
Strong Shell Scripting skill in bash and ksh and PERL
Red Hat Certified Engineer a plus
HPUX 11.x system administration experience a plus
