We are currently seeking a talented Technical Support Engineer to work in our Manayunk office. Broad technical knowledge, creative problem solving, trouble shooting, communication skills and a positive attitude are core to this position.
Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot a wide variety of customer issues via telephone, email and web based case management systems for both of our business units
• Responsible for hands on troubleshooting to include inspecting and reconditioning telecommunication products returned by our customers
• Write documentation, knowledge base articles and FAQs for use by both internal staff and customers
• Other duties as assigned
Qualification Requirements:
• Excellent written and verbal communications
• Extensive familiarity with Linux, in particular RHEL/CentOS and Debian distributions
• Solid understanding of networking and networking protocols, in particular VoIP/SIP
• Careful, methodical approach to troubleshooting complex technical issues
• Work well independently as well as in a small office environment
• Experience with HylaFAX is desirable but not necessary
• Experience with wireshark is a plus
