Job Description: Develop android software applications.
Daily Responsibilities:
In this position, the candidate will be working with members of the platform architecture team in developing working proof-of-concept, performing benchmark analysis and writing architecture specifications. This specification encompasses components, hardware platform, system software, OS and application software. Other responsibilities would include generating and assimilating data to perform Platform Level Tradeoffs such as power, performance, battery life, cost, and size to set the architecture for the platform. There will be multiple software projects ranging from application, frameworks and low-level driver projects.
Necessary Skills (Must Have):
Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of experience. Degree earned can be in computer science, CSE or EE with experience in the mobile phone industry.
In addition, ideal candidate is expected to have:
Good to deep understanding of Intel X-86 architectures and/or ARM architecture
Must have JAVA programming and Android API expertise (Froyo, Gingerbread)
Must have developed applications (Native and Dalvic) on Android phones
Understanding of Client Server, Cloud computing service architecture and Internet Technologies (eg, HTML, XML/XSLT, JSON, HTTP, SSL, TCP/IP) will be a strong plus
Extensive experience with integrating products using Scripting (PERL, etc.) as well as coding in structured programming languages (C/C++, Java, Python, etc.)
High organization skills and the ability to be self-motivated
Additional Skills Desired (Nice to Have):
Strong initiative, strong communication and superior problem-solving skills would be an added advantage
