Excellent opportunity for a Linux Network Engineer/DevOps Administrator to join a
Rapidly growing technology company.
Your focus will be on DevOps and you will be will be managing and maintaining network operations and infrastructure, deploying software, and performing software updates. You will also work with engineering on projects and consult with the software development teams during the design process.
This is a fast paced environment and you will be supporting mission critical systems 24 X 7 X 365. You must be very familiar with Nagios and LAMP stack with experience with Puppet/Chef or Cfengine. You should be more application oriented than OS/Hardware. We are not interested in big enterprise Linux/SAN administrators. We need someone who's hungry and ready to learn. You should have very strong Scripting skills and should be familiar with large scale environments.
You must be comfortable learning new technology fast and wearing many hats. You must be an agile team-player who is willing and able to help anyone on the team. You will be joining a top notch NOC team where you will receive cross training on many technologies and practices. Ideally you will have experience deploying software to a large server farm (at least 50+ Servers) and the ability to multi-task.
Responsibilities include building LAMP style websites (very high scalable environment), planning and capacity management of the production environment, build Nagios infrastructure, maintain puppet infrastructure, work with programmers and QA to resolve production environments, assist with SAS70 and PCI remediation, and production deployment planning, testing, and verification.
A high preference for load balancing, storage arrays, virtualization, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Amazon, and Middleware (JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of experience with Linux (prefer Red Hat or CentOS) operations and administration
Focused on Linux Administration the majority of the time the last 2+ experience
Experience maintaining and deploying software to large enterprise server farms
Strong experience developing and using automation tools for deployments
Experience maintaining and deploying software to large enterprise server farms
Experience working with Linux in a virtual environment (KVM, Xen or VMware Preferred)
Experience using monitoring tools such as Nagios, Cacti, and MRTG.
3+ years experience in system administration level Shell Scripting (Bash, Perl, Ruby, Python preferred)
Experience in rapid deployment environments utilizing system automation tools such as Chef, Puppet or Cfengine.
Understand and embrace a DevOps infrastructure environment.
Experience using monitoring tools such as Check_MK, Nagios, Cacti, and MRTG.
Experience with Open Source projects and compiling custom software.
Self managed and motivated. You must have a proactive approach to Network Administration and hungry to learn new technologies
