We are looking for an exceptional server-side Java developer (c 2-4 yrs) preferably with Android experience to join their small, highly motivated team of developers delivering a scalable backend services platform. This next generation of smart home applications will lead the market in home energy management.
The right candidate will be highly ambitious for success and have a strong mix of hands-on coding skills, good experience of web architectures and great communications skills. Specifically you will be able to demonstrate very high quality OO design and development skills, strong knowledge of Java enterprise architecture, Server side development experience on Linux with good knowledge of how to get effective use out of open source toolsets and frameworks; this together with a strong numerate degree. We're seeking someone with strong intellect and problem solving abilities.
The ideal candidate will also have experience of developing for Android phones and tablets together with good knowledge of one or more of the following: Spring, Hibernate, OSGi, GWT. Ideally you have worked in a start-up environment, believe fervently in Agile software development and will have used it effectively.
