UNIX Systems Administrator, Solaris Systems Administrator, RedHat Linux Systems Administrator

Support a UNIX, Redhat Linux based Business Application Infrastructure. Understand the infrastructure environment and ensure that new applications and infrastructure meet corporate standards for quality.

Provide day-to-day operational support of the mission-critical UNIX/Redhat Linux infrastructure environment. Provide systems monitoring, alert resolution, and auditing. Fulfill user requests.

Resolve cases escalated by first level support. Execute projects aimed at increasing operational efficiencies and managing risk in the environment.

This is an automated, large-scale environment.

REQUIRED:

Able to pass a credit check, drug test, and criminal background check

Strong command of English

Strong enterprise-scale Unix administration and troubleshooting skill on various enterprise systems: Linux and Solaris. Should be proficient in understanding Kernel mechanics, virtual memory, process life cycles, DNS, NIS, LDAP, AUTOFS, NFS, AFS, TCP/IP, jumpstart, kick-start.

Solid experience with enterprise level change and incident management processes.

Proficient in the infrastructure architecture of scalable, automated HPC ( High Performance Computing ) deployments

Experience with high-performance, highly-available computing environments and integration of technical products into complex environments

Virtualization technologies expertise

SAN/NAS and associated Protocols expertise

Advanced Scripting capability (eg: Perl, Shell, Python, C)

Must be a self-starter, a team player, and be able work in a fast paced, environment.

Excellent analytical and problems solving skills
