Android Developer
We are looking for a strong software developer that can take over an existing set of Android applications used by thousands of users today. Applications will be a mix of native content and HTML5 going forward. Need someone with experience in designing client apps in a manner that is scalable on the Back End, while maintaining a high degree of flexibility. Ideal candidate will be passionate about mobile software development and willing to cross-train other team members on Android development. Will work within an new Agile team using Scrum+XP, but will be the primary Android developer initially.
Responsibilities
Work with CTO, development team, and other stakeholders to translate business strategies and requirements into software solutions that meet the primary business needs
Mentoring team in Android and other technologies related to building Android applications
Lead the development of the company's Android applications
Develop practical solutions to complex technical problems
Guard the architectural design to keep it simple, yet robust
Exhibit a flexible, can-do attitude
Qualifications
Self-motivated team player who excels in a collaborative environment
Strong sense of personal accountability; contributes beyond job role and responsibilities
Excellent problem solving skills; meticulous & methodical
Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly and self-directed
Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar degree, or equivalent experience
5+ years software industry experience
Strong conceptualization, analytical, and logic skills
Excellent Android and Java skills
Strong database skills, MySQL experience a plus
Excellent grasp of web-based technologies such as HTML, AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, XML, and XPATH
Agile experience (Scrum or XP preferred)
Unix/Linux experience (preferred, not required)
Other mobile experience (iOS/Blackberry) (preferred, not required)
HTML5 experience, including CSS3 (preferred, not required)
