Description:

Pace-O-Matic is looking for an experienced Linux engineer with strong background in Embedded product development using Linux OS-based Embedded platform. In this position, you will be working on multi-platform gaming devices.

Your duties will include but not limited to the following:

Design and develop the Linux Kernel drivers for customer reference platforms. Work with the internal and external open source communities to the drivers.

Lead the firmware and software stack.

Product testing and debugging software and firmware issues throughout the product life cycle.

Develop innovative solutions & tools that would help improve product development workflow.

Create technical documents to address the issues escalated to engineering from technical support.

Configure Linux builds for hardware changes, perform work with hardware directly, such as switching motherboards, IO boards, graphics cards, custom hardware, etc.

Knowledgeable in creating custom Linux builds and configurations, file systems, developing Kernel modules, user space drivers.

Qualifications:

You should possess a BS degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with 3 years of experience or a MS degree with more than 2 years of experience in the broad areas of system software design and/or development on Real Time OS targets.

Minimum of 2 years of experience with Linux Kernel, Device Drivers, and C programming.

Experience working on Device drivers such as Sensors, Display, Touch, Energy Management, and Audio is a plus.

Previous experience with Software Validation, Build, Release and Configuration Management. Familiarity with source control systems such as SVN is a plus.

Previous experience working with the open source community is a big plus. 

Java and/or OOD experience a big plus.
