ABOUT THE POSITION
GTN Technical Staffing is currently seeking a Senior RedHat Linux Infrastructure Engineer for a Direct-Hire opportunity in Farmers Branch, TX. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for building, managing and maintaining the internal data systems, including Servers, storage, designs, applications, databases and networks. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and supporting/troubleshooting infrastructure problems and coordinating with internal and external vendors.
Environment: A mixture of RedHat Linux/LAMP and MS Technologies that need to be maintained/optimized.
Monitor/Maintain/Engineer Migration from Windows to RedHat Linux
Setup/Monitor/Maintain Network Infrastructure for Server/Back Office Connectivity
Recommend/Optimize Infrastructure Technologies
Build/Setup Servers on RedHat Linux/Windows, etc.
Monitor Servers/Applications
Maintain Changes to the Servers - Updates/Application Changes
Provide Recommendations for New Infrastructure RequirementsTECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in the following skill sets
RedHat Linux Systems/Application Engineering
Windows 2008 Server - Support/Troubleshooting/Administration
Monitoring/Maintaining/Engineering Cisco ASA/PIX Firewalls/Juniper Firewalls
Force10 Switches - Support/Maintenance/Troubleshooting
Load Balancers -- F5
LAMP Environment - Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP (Perl/Python)
Network Troubleshooting - Perl Scripting/Python/Shell Scripting/Bash Scripting/Korn Scripting/PowerShell Scripting/.NET, etc.
VMware ESX (ESXi)/vSphere - Troubleshooting/Performance Tuning/Optimization/Diagnostics/Set-up/Support, etc.
HA - High Availability/Redundancy in the LAMP/MS Technical Stacks
OS - Mac OS X/Windows
SAN - Storage Area Networking/Storage Protocols
