South Melbourne - Immediate Start Potential!

Our client is a large Australian institution. They are seeking an additional Linux/Unix Storage Systems Engineer to join their team. The role backs up and supports their existing Engineers who are heavily involved in project work. Projects are large scale, highly complex and ongoing. 

Essential Criteria;

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Unix/Linux RHEL 5+ years (4.X & 5.X)

Shell/Perl Scripting

Oracle Database environments (support perspective)

Virtual Environments (VMWare/IBM PowerVM)

IBM AIX

SAN based storage systems (EMC)

Industry certs preferred - RHL/Solaris/HPUX/SAN

This role is available for an IMMEDIATE start for the right candidate - a South Melbourne based position. Initial Client expectations are for 2 to 3 months, with the possibility of extensions. Candidates nearing the end of current contracts with 3 - 3 weeks availability will also be considered.
