Senior Linux Administrator - Linux/Unix, Apache, MySQL, Networking

My client is a leading E-commerce company based in Dublin 2 and they are seeking an experienced linux system administrator to architect and implement enhancements to key systems that underpins the business. You will be a key resource in ensuring that the E-commerce systems are capable of sustaining the growth and development of the business.

Main duties & Responsibilities

Provide systems administration for the Unix based E-commerce systems

Take ownership of issues to resolution demonstrating a positive/can-do approach

Liaising with external service providers as necessary

Designing, building and maintaining the next generation of the E-commerce systems

Ability to work under own initiative or as part of a team

Experience required:

7 plus years of IT experience

5 plus years in a global E-commerce technical systems administration role

Experience with common virtualisation technologies

Experience in supporting 24x7 E-commerce systems

Experience with Open Source technologies

Detailed Apache web server configuration/administration experience

Detailed MySQL Database server administration experience

Detailed Linux experience (Redhat, Centos, Scientific Linux etc)

Detailed Networking experience

PHP Hypertext pre-processor experience

Experience with designing/implementing enterprise monitoring solutions
