The Linux team of our direct client is seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer for a 4 month contract to support their Linux installation and patching. The successful candidate will have experience delivering solutions in a collaborative environment under aggressive deadlines.

Overtime: straight time
- Understanding of Linux OS, patches, tuning and Scripting
- Proven experience in end-to-end problem determination/troubleshooting system issues
- Ideal candidate must be willing to support production systems 24 x 7 on a rotational basis
- Understanding of Microsoft System Center or equivalent
- Thorough understanding of networks and storage systems
- Work in a team oriented environment and ability to communicate effectively within teams. Share new ideas with the team and be able to think and recommend solutions. Must have strong work ethics and professional demeanor
- High level of professionalism, integrity and commitment to quality
- Organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The Linux administrator should have worked with VMware, ESX virtualization software and should be knowledgeable with HP C-class blade and racks etc.
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 4 months
