Our client offers a unique service to industry and government and is seeking a Systems Engineer with Red Hat Linux experience.

Responsibilities will be to work on the client's cloud and KVM virtualization infrastructure. You will monitor Servers, troubleshoot and solve technical issues as they arise in this fast paced environment. Other duties include optimizing disk performance, working with Apache Servers as well as working with Linux Firewalls. This is a team environment where you will be constantly challenged to identify solutions to hardware and software issues as well as propose solutions to managers and developers. Position offers growth and advancement in the company.

Requires 5+ years of experience in a network engineering environment to include specific experience with RedHat Linux, Kernel architecture, DNS, Postfix, Apache and Scripting languages. The position also requires an individual who likes to learn and be constantly challenge. Because you will be developing products for the government, you will need to be a US Citizen and be able to get a clearance once you are employed. RHCE (Red Hat Certified) is strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree (BS) in a technical field is desired; BS CS or BS CE is preferred.

This is a full time permanent position with our client. The position offers excellent benefits to include health care, vacation and 401K. Because there is government work involved, you will need to be a US Citizen so you can get a clearance. This is not a contract. Relocation assistance may be possible for individuals in nearby states.
